Brief Overview

Eng. Mahmoud bin Saleh Al- Al-Theeb has been serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Commission for Jubail since October 2023. In addition, he was appointed as Acting CEO of the Royal Commission for Ras Al-Khair in March 2025, a role he continues to hold alongside his current responsibilities.

He brings over 30 years of experience in leadership and operational management across the energy, utilities, and industrial sectors. Prior to his current role, he served as Vice President for Operations and Maintenance at Marafiq (Jubail and Ras Al-Khair) from October 2018 to June 2022. Earlier, he held the positions of Chief Operating Officer and later Vice President for Asset Management at ACWA Power between 2016 and 2018. He also served as Vice President for Technical Affairs and Projects at SIPCHEM from May 2015 to March 2016.

Eng. Al- Al-Theeb began his career at SADAF – SABIC in 1994, where he progressed through various roles including Operations Engineer, Operations Department Manager, and Manager of Marketing, Planning, and Logistics until 2004. He later joined SIPCHEM, where he continued to demonstrate technical and managerial excellence in the petrochemical industry.
