Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries is located in the southwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the coast of the Red Sea. It is sixty-six (66) km north of Jizan city Twenty and (20) km west of Baish Governorate. It faces the Red Sea on the western side with a coastline extending for a length of (19.4) km. The city is notable for its own industrial port and its geographical location; a strategic center for logistics services as it links several continents of the world.

• Mangrove Area and Ecological Park, 5.6 km²
It has been defined as: the environmental and natural assets of Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries with mangroves, trees and golden sand dunes, which the city planner seeks in order to preserve in order to serve the city's sustainable environmental protection strategy and improve the quality of life.

• Residential Area: 25 km²
With a total area of 25 square kilometers, a total capacity of 73,000 residents, and a development capacity of 24,000 housing units.
Residential units comprise 50% of the area as well as 10% of future commercial developments, educational facilities, parks and green spaces that enhance the community lifestyle. In addition to a green buffer zone extending about 8 kilometers to separate the residential area from the industrial area to achieve the requirements of sustainable protection.

• Industrial Zone: 83.4 km²
The industrial zone can be divided according to the targeted land uses and the industries specified in the economic plan, which start from:
(Electronic equipment and devices - metals - petrochemicals - food processing - Logistics services and other industries.

The industrial zone

The industrial zone is divided according to the size and weight of industries into:

• 57% heavy industries area: It focuses on mining, minerals and petrochemicals, and will contribute to creating up to 23,000 job opportunities.
• 21% of the general industries area: It targets equipment and electronic devices, and other light industries, and will contribute to creating up to 22,000 jobs.
• 13% of the port and logistics for the industrial zone: The industrial port of Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries is the gateway for economy and investment to the global market.
• 2% for the reverse osmosis plant and sewage treatment plant: It is one of the important infrastructure projects for the industrial zone
• 7% of the green buffer zones extending over the industrial area: The industrial area is one of the largest of its kind, and it represents approximately 73% of the master plan with a total area of 83.4 square meters.
